Photographer Takahiro Mizushima's photo collection "Long Hug Town" captures the energy and emotion of people he encounters on the streets of Ota Ward, Tokyo. His experiences wandering around as a boy influenced his work, and the series features snapshots that intertwine the atmosphere of the city, its people, and the photographer's own memories.
Mizushima was born in Tokyo in 1988 and graduated from Tokyo Visual Arts in 2009. He was a finalist in the 10th "1_WALL" photography competition in 2014.
This work is a compilation of works that won the Grand Prize at the 2017 Young Art Taipei Photo Eye.
He moved to Taiwan in 2020 and is currently based in Tokyo and Taipei . His work focuses on the theme of "cities and the people who live there," and he also takes photographs of people he encounters on the streets of Taiwan.
