He wanders the streets at night, mainly in Ota Ward, Tokyo, which he is fond of, and captures the unfathomable energy and emotions of human beings with his entire body senses.
It establishes the relationship between the atmosphere emanating from a place and the people who live there, and also resonates with one's own memories and experiences.
Takahiro Mizushima's photographs, in which men and women of all ages who make their living on the streets are vividly depicted as one giant living organism, also contain memories of a time when he was a wanderer from his youth onwards, with no preparation for the future and a time when he was allowed to exist in the elements.
"There is so much going on in a snapshot. The whole of life seems to be visible in a few seconds, like a drowning man's vision." (William Klein)
A snapshot is a microcosm of life.
Memories of past events, people they once met, and places they once lived are overwritten multiple times in the minds of lonely people living in the present.
